Xavier Veilhan

Xavier Veilhan (1963) is a French artist who lives and works in Paris. His work consists of photography, sculpture, film, painting and installation art. The Rhinocéros (1999) is life-size and coated with red lacquer. The 1995 statues for Les Gardes Républicaines looked like real size toy figures. La Ford T (1997-1999) is a handmade reconstruction of the Ford Model T. Other works include La Forêt or La Grotte (1998), Le Plein Emploi, (Strasbourg 2005), Projet Hyperréaliste/ The Photorealist Project, for the Lyon Biennale in 2003, Baron de Triqueti(2006). He created a grey monster in Tours (2006), a blue lion in Bordeaux, and a bear, penguins and other characters in Lyon (2006). In 2004 he had a solo exhibition at the Centre Pompidou.
