Florian & Michael Quistrebert

Working as a duo, Florian and Michael Quistrebert (b. 1982 and 1976 in France, live and work in Amsterdam and Paris) have grounded their practice in abstract painting, video and photography invoking incisive geometrical forms, architectural structures and experimental imagery.

Florian and Michael Quistrebert graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Nantes. Their work has been exhibited at Galerie Crèvecoeur (2009-2012); Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris (2012); Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2012); Marrakech Biennale (2012); Le Quartier, Quimper (2012); Ellen de Bruijn Projects, Amsterdam (2012); Harris Lieberman Gallery, New York (2012); Frost Museum, Miami (2011); Galerie Stadtpark, Krems (2011); Car Projects, Bologna (2011); Jessica Silverman, San Francisco (2011); Austrian Cultural Forum, New York (2010); Domaine Départemental de Chamarande (2010); Printemps de Septembre, Toulouse (2009).

They completed a one-year residency at Triangle Arts Association in New York (2009), and are current residents at the Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam (2011-2013).
