Chiara Giovando

Chiara Giovando is both an artist and a curator.  She is Co-director of Human Resources L.A., a non-profit artist run arts space in Los Angeles. She is also the 2012 curator in residence with René Block at Kunsthal 44 Møn. Her films and performances have been exhibited in REDCAT Gallery, Tate Modern and the Whitney Museum.

Giovando was co-director of Hi Zero Festival of experimental music from 2005 through 2008. She also contributed to the founding of Tarantula Hill in Baltimore, MD.  Her work as an artist focuses on sound and performance, addressing sound through an architectural aspect. She has produced records with Ehse Records, Holy Mountain and Ecstatic Peace.  Giovando’s two short films, Proud Flesh and Archaic Smile have screened both nationally and internationally.
